International Telephone Call
Foreigners will have many opportunities to make international telephone calls after moving to Japan. To install a new telephone set at home, it is necessary to contact a Japanese telephone company such as NTT, KDDI, and SOFTBANK TELECOM. For application, foreigners will be required to submit a copy of their passport or foreign resident’s registration card for ID confirmation purposes.
Deposit and installation fees will be charged to those who use international telephone services. In some case, foreigners may be requested to submit a certification of their address and/or their passport.
