Alien Registration
Those who start to live in Japan in order to work in Japan or to study in Japan are required to submit a moving-in notification to the local municipal office which administers resident registration.
Alien registration must be completed before such notification is submitted. Your alien registration certificate or alien registration card will be required.
A moving-in notification must be submitted within 14 days after you have moved to your new address in Japan.
