Procedures for terminating water service must be completed before moving to work or study in Japan. Outstanding charge, if any, must be paid off when terminating water service before leaving for Japan.
Terminating water service only takes calling the water service provider. About one week before leaving for Japan, those who come to work or study in Japan should call their water service provider and it will be taken care of.
Contact information is usually provided on water service bills or receipts.
