Passport & VISA

For people who have never travelled abroad before and are now planning to come and work or study in Japan, acquisition of a passport will naturally be a must. Added to that, those who intend to stay in Japan for over 90 days or perform paid work must obtain a VISA in advance.

Passport identifies the holder’s nationality, and it is needed to enter Japan and any other foreign country. Holders of passports expiring in the coming 6 months will be required to renovate their passport before applying for VISA.
